WebJun 16, 2006 · Which amps are good for 70s fuzz rock? I'm afraid the amps that sound warm and fuzzy are generally underpowered. Hit me with your suggestions, I am familiar with many of the standard options but maybe I am overlooking something. Hopefully an amp that is not incredibly rare (Earth B2000, Fender Bassman 135, Trace Elliot V4, V6, V8 etc). WebDec 11, 2012 · Fjestad’s lists the B-2000 as selling for around $350 in 98% condition, so perhaps modest purchase price changes the picture. Still, a used B-80 costs only slightly more and is a proven gun once you get the gas ports sorted out if you have a 3″ gun. I don’t have any first hand knowledge as to how the B-2000 handles different shell strengths.
